Yun's housewarming (potluck)





hmm.. i need a better recipe to churn out more whipped potato gravy. Sweated slices of onions in beef stock, simmer till thicken




Spent the night before chopping roasted pork from Giant supermarket and boiling and mashing 1 whole sack of potatoes. 

To prepare the mashed potatoes, put the washed potatoes (optional to have the skin on, I prefer with the skin on as it looks more rustic and I heard that the skins actually have much nutrients) into a big pot of water. You can cut the potatoes into smaller pieces so that it cooks faster. The water level should just cover the potatoes. Bring to boil, simmer. Use a fork to poke the potatoes to check if they are soft enough for mashing. Drain the potatoes, and mash with a masher or a fork.
