Hong Kong hotel recommendation | Where to stay in Hong Kong

Looking for a spacious and convenient accommodation in HK?

V Wanchai met all our expectations!
I kept ticking my checklist when I found this great deal in Agoda for

  • a spacious 40 sqm room (this is absolutely hard to find in Hong Kong, the rooms I've stayed in, even Club Floor, were tiny!)
  • comes with bathtub (the only luxury we ask for when we travel as we love to soak off especially after a tiring day out)
  • 5 min walk to subway station (it's 5 minutes walk to Wan Chai MTR station... as long as it's not within some industrial or ulu ulu area...!)

It also came with free minibar daily refills (6 canned drinks), and there's my fave two classic red coke in the "fat" can! yeah! (never understand the thin canned soft drink...) They also supplied two bottles of mineral water, and some hot beverages packets, and an electric kettle.

Oh, there's also microwave and cutlery. It would be ideal if they could supply at least one more cup (only one cup provided...) and some plates (we ended up microwaving our roast pigeon supper directly on the microwave's glass plate itself as there were no plates and the pigeon came in a styrofoam box)

we were amused to see the bath amenities wrapped nicely in a gift box! the lavender scented bath foam etc didn't later very well, but not to worry... there's a Sasa and some shops very near Wan Chai MTR station

two sinks for the OCD personality that needs to wash the kitchen stuff away from the regular bathroom sink... also makes a good His vs. Her sink haha!

Overall we enjoyed our experience at V Wanchai. Other than the huge room and the bathtub, we love the convenience of 5 minutes walk to Wan Chai MTR station, 5 minutes walk to Oddies Foodies, the Hong Kong tram stop (ding ding) nearby, can take late night City Flyer bus A11 to the airport... :)
